It is with great success that the Institute of Research & Training on Europan Affairs -I.R.T.E.A. implemented their dual Multiplier Event of the European project S.M.A.R.T. YOUTH CENTER (Supporting Mobility Activities Running through Tech).
The event was split in two in the following way:
At the Municipality of Salamina’s Townhall on Friday 8/12/2023 – 11:30- 13:30:
The first part took place in an Event in the Municipality of Salamina that included representatives of the city youth council, educators, and representatives from municipality authorities on topics of education that seek digitalization and guidance on implementing it in their work with young people in our digitalized society.

The 50 participants of the Event had the chance to discover the Project Results of S.M.A.R.T. and learn more about the methodology and activities implemented. Finally, they led a discussion with the team engaged in the project, on the potential benefits to the local community through this project’s results. More specifically, the youth city council representatives and municipality authorities on the field of education, were especially interesting in contributing to the sustainability of this project.
In Athens, at the Premises of Gazi View (Iackhou 22) on Tuesday 12/12/2023, 16:00 – 18:00:
The second part took place in an Event in Athens that attracted youth workers who actively seek innovation and digital evolution in their work, in order to be able to provide a better interaction and more qualitative youth work. The 17 youth workers that attended were presented with the overall project, the project results and impact made, and also took part in a set of workshops to identify more ways and projects that could benefit from these results and create a wider impact in youth work, and young people digital skills development.

During both events, the project’s overview was presented, including its key activities, and the project results. More specifically, the project managed through its activities to develop the following Project Results:
-created an online course (MOOC) about digital work with young people;
-a virtual reality (VR) environment has been created – a youth space where youth workers can organize activities for young people;
-implemented a pilot application of digital activities for young people, among youth workers
-created a set of digital tools with practical examples that can be used in digital work with young people.
Overall, the audience offered their feedback on the project and the project results produced.
